The official launch of the Stripey Cat Craft Brewery at the Tiger Inn Bridport has taken place to much acclaim. For the occasion Proprietor and Landlord Graham Taylor brewed two different beers: a light bitter 3.9% and an IPA 4.2%, both seemed to hit the spot, with very little left of the brews at closing time.
Prior to the launch The Tiger ran a name the brew competition challenging people to name the first two Stripey Cat brews produced. “We received over 80 entries and it took Jacquie and I sometime to agree the winners.” said Graham Taylor.
- ‘Feline Good’ (name for the light bitter) by PJ Wheeler
- ‘Paws for Thought’ (name for the IPA) by Pete Peachey and Neil Harden
Each received a £25 voucher to spend at the Tiger and a Stripey Cat Craft Brewery Tee Shirt.
“The plan is to produce two to three barrels of beer a week and develop beers tailored to our customers’ tastes. I am also offering a bespoke beer service. If you are having a special event I can brew a cask especially for you and you can name it for the occasion.” said Graham.
